Profile of The Rev'd Nic Denny-Dimitriou
Nic is a priest with 26 years of experience in the Anglican Church of South Africa and spent most of 2014 in Cyprus. Nic, born in Johannesburg of a Greek father and South African mother, was raised a Roman Catholic with a vibrant faith in Christ. Nic jokingly warns people of his 'fiery mixed blood'. He attended the Anglican Theological College in Grahamstown in the late 1980's. He served in three urban parishes in South Africa, and in his last parish in the Diocese of Natal he ministered for eleven years, building the parish into a health community.
Nic is married with two children in their teens. His wife, Julia Denny, came from Zimbabwe and completed her university studies in South Africa. She has been ordained for many years, has worked as a journalist and in public relations.
